Take me to your trees. Take me to your breakfasts, your sunsets, your bad dreams, your shoes, your nouns. Take me to your fingers. Margaret Atwood, In Other Worlds

Success

"What’s the point of being better than someone else?" - Noam Chomsky

I read this quote a little while ago and it has been on my mind since then.

I have also been reading a variety of things, The Power of Myth with Joseph Campbell and Bill Moyers, The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin, The Mindful Carnivore by Tovar Cerulli, to name a few.

And I have just begun my sort of synthesis of what I’ve been reading, thinking and learning and I thought I’d share.

Success. Why is it measured against anyone else?
Success should be how you personally define it. Work where you want and however much you want/can.

Don’t get sucked into the corporate ladder, it benefits few.

Enjoy your life while you can.
Learn if you want. Be healthy. Be kind.

Me and the Mountain by Rodney Allen
“Mount Taranaki/Egmont (2518m) and tarn on the Pouakai Rangers, New Zealand. I spent a cold night beside the tarn waiting for completely still water. This happened just before sunrise, with the full moon about to set.”
